Antediluvian Age
Creation: Six days - 4000 BC
1st day: Sunday - Earth / Night / Day

In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. The earth was without form and void; darkness was on the face of the deep, and the Spirit of God was hovering over the face of the waters. Then God said, "Let there be light," and there was light; God divided the light from the darkness. God called the light day, and the darkness He called night. [Gen 1:1-5]

The sun, moon, and stars were not created until the 4th day.
2nd Day: Monday - Heaven
God said, "Let there be a firmament in the midst of the waters, and let it divide the waters from the waters." Thus God made the firmament, and divided the waters which were under the firmament from the waters which were above the firmament; God called the firmament Heaven. [Gen 1:6-8]
firmament = The vault or expanse of the heavens; the sky.

The Lord God has not caused it to rain on the earth, but a mist went up from the earth and watered the whole face of the ground. Before any plant of the field was in the earth and before any herb of the field had grown, and there was no man to till the ground. [Gen 2:4-6]
3rd Day: Tuesday - Continents / Oceans / Grass / Herbs / Trees
God said, "Let the waters under the heavens be gathered together into one place, and let the dry land appear;" and God called the dry land Earth, and the gathering together of the waters He called seas. Then God said, "Let the earth bring forth grass, the herb that yields seed, and the fruit tree that yields fruit according to its kind, whose seed is in itself." [Gen 1:9-13]
4th Day: Wednesday - Sun / Moon / Stars
God said, "Let there be lights in the firmament of the heavens to divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs and seasons, and for days and years; and let them be for lights in the firmament of the heavens to give light on the earth;" then God made two great lights: the greater light to rule the day, and the lesser light to rule the night. He made the stars also. God set them in the firmament of the heavens to give light on the earth, and to rule over the day, the night, and to divide the light from darkness. [Gen 1:14-19]
Since the earth was in existence on the 1st day, although without form and void... It appears that the earth was created before the sun, moon, stars and other planets... so much for the "big bang theory."
5th Day: Thursday - Great Sea Creatures / Fish / Birds
God said, "Let the waters abound with an abundance of living creatures, and let birds fly above the earth across the face of the firmament of the heavens." So God created great sea creatures and every living thing that moves, with which the waters abounded, according to their kind, and every winged bird according to its kind. And God blessed them, saying, "Be fruitful and multiply, and fill the waters in the seas, and let the birds multiply on the earth." [Gen 1:20-23]
6th Day: Friday - Animals / Reptiles / Insects / Man
God said, "Let the earth bring forth the living creature according to its kind: cattle and creeping thing and beast of the earth, each according to its kind, cattle according to its kind, and everything that creeps on the earth according to its kind." [Gen 1:24-25]

Then God said, "Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness; let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, the birds of the air, over the cattle, all the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth." So God created man in His own image; in the image of God He created him. And the Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living being. The Lord God said, "It is not good that man should be alone; I will make a helper comparable to him.... And the Lord God caused a deep sleep to fall on Adam, and he slept; and He took one of his ribs, and closed up the flesh in it's place. Then the rib which the Lord God had taken from man He made into a woman, and He brought her to the man. And Adam said: 'This is now bone of my bones and flesh of my flesh; she shall be called Woman, because she was taken out of Man. Therefore a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and they shall become one flesh.' " [Gen 2:7, 18, 21-24]
The Bible states that God made Man from the dust of the ground and breathed life into him! Man was the last to be created... the animals, reptiles, birds, sea creatures were here already... so we lived together with them... all of them... including dinosaurs. The Evolution theory, spouted as fact in our schools and the media, states that millions of years ago ocean slime evolved into a fish that eventually crawled ashore then further evolved into a land animal, ie., a monkey, which in turn slowly evolved into a human being. ~ The Biblical Creation and the Evolution theory are diametrically opposed... they can not both be true!

The Lord God planted a garden eastward in Eden, and there He put the man whom He had formed. And out of the ground the Lord God made every tree grow that is pleasant to the sight and good for food. The tree of life was also in the midst of the garden, and the tree of the knowledge of good and evil.... And the Lord God commanded the man, saying, "Of every tree of the garden you may freely eat; but of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil you shall not ear, for in the day that you eat of it, you shall surely die."

God said, "See, I have given you every herb that yields seed which is on the face of all the earth, and every tree whose fruit yields seed; to you it shall be food. Also, to every beast of the earth, to every bird of the air, and to everything that creeps on the earth, in which there is life, I have given every green herb for food; and it was so." [Gen 1:29-30]
Man, animals, birds were not originally carnivores. Only after the Flood did man and animals begin to eat meat. [Gen 9:1-3]
7th Day: Saturday - God Rests - The Sabbath Day
On the 7th day God ended His work which He had done, and He rested on the 7th day. Then God blessed the 7th day and sanctified it, because in it He rested from all His work which God had created and made. [Gen 2:1-3]

The Temptation / The Fall / Expulsion from Garden

God told Adam he could freely eat of every tree in the garden except the tree in the middle... the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. God didn't say he couldn't touch it... He said don't eat it or you will surely die. Evidently, when Adam relayed this command to Eve, she either didn't understand or didn't trust God's word and was therefore tempted to sin by the serpent/dragon/Satan who told her she wouldn't die but would be like God. Adam however, standing right next to her, was not tempted, he just took the forbidden fruit Eve offered and ate it. Then the eyes of both of them were opened and they knew they were naked. They sewed fig leaves together and made themselves coverings (Man's attempt to save himself). Both she and Adam disobeyed God, blamed someone else for it, and died spiritually immediately. God made tunics of skin and covered them (God's provision for salvation). They were then driven out of the garden of Eden. [Gen 3:1-24]
First Satan twisted God's words, then outright lied to her... telling her that she would not die, that God didn't want her to know that she would become a god herself. He is still using the same tactics today... and people are still falling for it. Eve blamed the serpent and Adam blamed God. If they had only confessed their sin and ask forgiveness they would have been forgiven. This is the first animal sacrifice for sin... the first reference to the blood of Christ for salvation. It is also interesting to note that they "sewed" the fig leaves together so they must have invented needles and thread to do it with. [Gen 3:7; Heb 9:22]

The First Murder

Two sons were born to Adam and Eve: Cain and Abel. Cain was firstborn. Both were evidently taught what God said... nothing man can do will earn his salvation, only the shed blood of an "innocent substitute" will do. When they were grown, Abel brought the blood sacrifice (a lamb) that God required and was accepted. Cain, on the other hand, either doubted or outright rejected God's Word, as he brought "of the fruit of the ground" and was promptly rejected by God, "If you do what is right will you not be accepted?" Rather than do as God commanded, Cain became furious with jealousy and killed his brother. Cain was given a "mark" so that no one would kill him. He did not repent even after God spoke to him, but went out from the presence of God to the land of Nod, on the east of Eden. [Gen 4: 1-16]
The ground had been cursed by God because of Adam and Eve's sin. So, when Cain brought the fruit of the ground as an offering, he was rejected by God. Cain killed Abel because his works were evil and Abel's righteous [1 John 3:12]. Since only a male, the head of the household, is allowed to offer a sacrifice... Abel must have been full grown, at least 20 years old (age of a warrior), when he began to sacrifice. If not, Adam would have made the sacrifice for his entire family. Abel might have even been married... Cain was. It is also interesting that Abel, and Adam, had to have fire in order to perform the sacrifice God wanted. [Num 1:1-3]

Cain and his wife had a son and named him Enoch. Cain built the first known city and named it after his son. [Gen 4:16-17]
Adam and Eve had many children and since they were the only people on earth, Cain's wife was one of his sisters. Cain built the first city and named it after his firstborn son, Enoch. It was built east of Eden in the land of Nod. Nod was probably in Asia, maybe China. It is believed that Eden is buried under the waters of the Persian Gulf.

In the day that God created man, He made him in the likeness of God. He created them male and female, and blessed them and called them Mankind in the day they were created. [Gen 5:1-2]

Seth was born to Adam at the age of 130. Eve said, "God has appointed me another seed instead of Abel whom Cain killed." Adam begot Seth in his own likeness, after his own image. After Seth was born, Adam lived 800 more years and had other sons and daughters. [Gen 4:26; 5:3-4]
Adam was created in the image of God. Seth, as well as the rest of us, was born in Adam's image, the image of fallen man... in need of redemption.

Methuselah is the 8th generation from Adam through Seth. Lamech is the 8th generation from Adam through Cain. Lamech's sons Jabal, Jubal (mother Ada), and Tubal-Cain and his daughter Naamah (mother Zillah) were born to him through his two wives. Jabal was the father of all those who dwell in tents and have livestock. Jubal was the father of all those who play the harp and flute. Tubal-Cain an instructor of every craftsman in bronze and iron. The use of iron followed bronze. This is the first reference to a man having two wives. Lamech states, "Adah and Zillah, hear my voice; O wives of Lamech, listen to my speech! For I have killed a man for wounding me, even a young man for hurting me. If Cain shall be avenged sevenfold, then Lamech seventy-sevenfold."... It appears that Lamech has killed 11 men. This side of the family did not know or understand God or His word. Each generation was more-than-likely told the story of Creation, the Fall, and the murder of Abel, from Cain's perspective. Adam died spiritually at the Fall and now he dies physically. Nothing is said about the death of Eve. The people of the antediluvian age had knowledge of God, His word to man, the Fall and the consequences of it, directly from Adam for 930 years. Methuselah had heard God's word directly from Adam for 243 years, and his son Lamech (Noah's father) for 56 years.

After the Fall, planting and growing food had became more difficult because of thorns and thistles... weeds. After the Flood Noah and his family (and animals) were allowed to eat meat... which would make it easier to feed themselves. Noah would have learned about God and the Fall from his grandfather Methuselah who had learned directly from Adam.

Sons of God & the daughters of Men

When men began to multiply on the earth, and daughters were born to them, that the sons of God saw the daughters of men, that they were beautiful; and they took wives for themselves of all whom they chose. The Lord said, "My Spirit will not always strive with man forever, for he is indeed flesh; yet his days will be 120 years. There were giants on the earth in those days and also afterward, when the sons of God came into the daughters of men and they bore children to them. Those were the mighty men who were old, men of renown. Then the Lord saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every intent of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually." [Gen 6:2-5]
"sons of God" = angels. Gen 18:2-8, and Heb 13:1, tell us of three angels who materialized and appeared to Abraham, and while visiting with him partook of the meal which he provided. If a materialized angel can eat, there is no reason to suppose that other functions of the body would be impossible. The only human son of God in this pre-Flood age was Adam, "he is a type of Him who was to come" [Romans 5:14-18]. This is the first reference of angels appearing to humans in human form. Even so, it seems logical the people knew they were angels and still they corrupted themselves... which is probably the reason God declared them evil. In procreating with angels, a race of giants was born that persisted even after the Flood. In these days there were probably no official wedding ceremonies. The act of procreation created the marriage in the sight of God... as it still does today.
Noah Commanded to Build Ark
The end of all flesh has come before Me, for the earth is filled with violence through them; and behold, I will destroy them with the earth. Make yourself an ark of gopherwood; make rooms in the ark, and cover it inside and outside with pitch. This is how you shall make it: The length shall be 300 cubits, its width 50 cubits, its height 30 cubits. You shall make a window, and you shall finish it to a cubit from above; and set the door in its side. You shall make it with lower, 2nd and 3rd decks. And behold, I Myself am bringing the flood of waters on the earth, to destroy from under heaven all flesh in which is the breath of life; and everything that is on the earth shall die. But I will establish My covenant with you; and you shall go into the ark - you and your sons, your wife, and your son's wives with you. And of every living thing of all flesh you shall bring two of every sort into the ark, to keep them alive with you; they shall be male and female. Of the birds after their kind, of animals after their kind, and of every creeping thing of the earth after its kind, two of every kind will come to you to keep them alive. And you shall take for yourself of all food that is eaten, and you shall gather it to yourself; and it shall be food for you and for them. [Gen 6:17-22]
The ark was 450 ft L x 75 ft W x 45 ft H, the window was 18 inches below the roof. --- Noah has 120 years to build the ark before the Flood comes. It was in progress about 23 years when his sons were born. It is interesting to note that Noah didn't have to go fetch each pair of animals and birds... they came to him [Gen 6:20; 7:19-21].

Assur-banipal, king of Babylon (c. 1364-1368 BC), recorded that he "loved to read the writings of the age before the Flood." He referred to "inscriptions of the time before the Flood.".... Each person had their own seal. Seals were carved by delicate saws or drills on small pieces of stone or metal. In use they were impressed on clay tablets, while the clay was yet soft. The people of the antediluvian age were not ignorant cavemen, their seals and writings have been found under the Flood layer in Ur (modern Kuwait) ie., the "Temptation Seal" was found near Babylon, portraying in pictures exactly what Genesis says in words. It shows a tree, on the left side a man, the right side a woman plucking fruit, and behind her a serpent.

The Flood

Methuselah died at the age of 969. [Gen 5:26]
George Smith, of the British Museum, found in 1872, the tablets from the Library of King Assur-banipal at Nineveh, accounts of the Flood curiously parallel to the Bible account, which had been copied from tablets dating back to the First Dynasty of Ur, a period about midway between the Flood and Abraham... In these tablets these expressions repeatedly appear -- 'The Flood,' 'the age before the Flood,' 'inscriptions of the time before the Flood.'

Jesus said, "For as in the days before the flood, they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noah entered the ark, and did not understand until the flood came and took them all away, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be." [Mat 24:38-39]
You gotta know Noah and his family pleaded with all who would listen that God was going to send a world wide flood to destroy all people on earth ... and you know they didn't listen. They must have been tickled silly laughing at the old man and his kids building a huge boat in the middle of the desert. Today, Jesus is our Ark... and they're still not listening.

In the 600th year of Noah's life, in the 2nd month, the 17th day of the month, on that day all the fountains of the great deep were broken up, and the windows of heaven were opened. On the very same day Noah, Noah's sons: Shem, Ham, and Japheth, Noah's wife and his sons three wives with them, entered the ark with two of every animal and bird. God shut the door of the ark, and the Flood began. It rained for 40 days and 40 nights. The waters increased and lifted up the ark, and it rose high above the earth. The waters prevailed and greatly increased on the earth, and the ark moved about on the surface of the waters. And the waters prevailed exceedingly on the earth, and all the high hills under the whole heaven were covered. The waters prevailed 15 cubits upward, and the mountains were covered. And all flesh died that moved on the earth: birds and cattle and beasts and every creeping thing that creeps on the earth and every man.... Only Noah and those with him in the ark remained alive. [Gen 7:11-23]
15 cubits = 22.5 ft. It's curious that nothing is said about the dinosaurs that lived at the same time as the pre-flood generation... maybe they're just included with the other animals. Dinosaur footprints along side human footprints have been discovered in a Texas riverbed... a fact which the Evolutionist seem to ignore. Also, nothing is said about any of the animals being full grown when they entered the ark... they could have been babies, or eggs, and therefore much smaller. The dimensions of the Ark allow for it's volume to equal that of 569 railroad box cars.

2344 BC marks the end of the Antediluvian age, it lasted 1,656 years. These people were not stupid cave men. They built ships; ruled cities; farmed the land; tended herds; and created music. They had fire; ate; walked; talked; married; danced and sang. They created extravagant gold, silver and lapis lazuli jewelry; bowls of alabaster, objects of art; and weapons. They had language and writing. From Adam to Noah each person had many children, who in turn had many children. This was a huge population that disappeared. Is it possible that the Pre-Flood Age represents Atlantis referred to by Plato... that "sank beneath the sea" 10,000 years before his time? You never know.

God remembered Noah, and every living thing, and all the animals that were with him in the ark. And God made a wind to pass over the earth, and the waters subsided. The fountains of the deep and the windows of heaven were also stopped, and the rain from heaven was restrained. [Gen 8:1-3]
Three things were let loose creating this flood... (1) fountains of the great deep (2) windows of heaven, and (3) 40 days and night of torrential rain. (17 May plus 40 days/40 nights = 27 June 2344)
17 October 2344 BC
The waters prevailed on the earth for 150 days then began to decrease. In the 7th month, on the 17th day of the month, the ark came to rest on the mountains of Ararat. [Gen 7:24; 8:4]
It has been 5 months since the flood began - 17 May plus 150 days = 17 October 2344 (150 ÷ 30 days = 5 months) -- Mount Ararat is in Eastern Turkey (Old Armenia).

"There are two main mountains. Great Ararat has an altitude of 16,946 feet (5,169 m) above sea level; 7 miles (11 km) southeast, Little Ararat is 12,877 feet (3,928 m) above sea level. Both are symmetrical, cone-shaped volcanoes composed of alternating layers of lava and ash. Because of the lack of water, the area is relatively barren and uninhabited. From medieval accounts, the Ararat region was a beautiful, forest-clad mountain with many human settlements and abundant wildlife; however, deforestation, overgrazing, and a destructive earthquake in 1840 have severely impacted the area."

The waters decreased continually until the 10th month. In the 10th month, on the 1st day of the month, the tops of the mountains were seen. [Gen 8:5]
Noah and his family have been on the ark for 8 months and 14 days. The tops of Mt Ararat were seen. Actually there are two mountains... Great Ararat and Little Ararat.
11 February 2344 BC
At the end of the 40 days, Noah opened the window and sent out a raven which kept going to and fro until the waters had dried up from the earth, He also sent out a dove, to see if the waters had abated from the face of the ground. But the dove found no resting place for the sole of her foot, and she returned into the ark to him, for the waters were on the face of the whole earth. [Gen 8: 7-11]
It is now 9 months and 10 days since the flood began -- The Bible clearly states that the Flood covered the whole earth, it was not just a local flood as some believe.
18 February 2344 BC
At the end of 7 more days, Noah sent out the dove again, and it returned in the evening with a freshly picked olive leaf in her mouth; and Noah knew that the waters had abated from the earth. [Gen 8:10]
It is now 9 months and 17 days since the flood began
25 February 2344 BC
After another 7 days, Noah sent out the dove, and it didn't return. [Gen 8:12]
It is now 9 months and 24 days since the flood began.
1 April 2343 BC
And it came to pass in the 601st year of Noah's life, in the 1st month, the 1st day of the month, that the waters were dried up from the earth and Noah removed the covering of the ark and looked, and indeed the surface of the ground was dry. [Gen 8:13]
The flood is finally over for Noah and his family after 11 months and 14 days. Actually we have no idea on what date a new year began in the antediluvian age. However, in Exodus 12:2... God made it law that April would be the 1st month of the Jewish year, so this is the date I have used for all calculations here... accurately or inaccurately assuming it is the date He prefers for this time in history as well.

Archaeological Significance of the Flood
Creation scientists believe the great coal deposits of the world are the transported and metamorphosed remains of the extensive vegetation of the antediluvian world. This catastrophic interpretation is further supported by the presence of polystrate fossils in coal beds which indicate rapid formation. Also, the type of plants involved and the texture of these deposits testify of turbulent waters, not a stagnant swamp. ... human skeletons and artifacts, such as intricately structured gold chains, have been found in coal deposits. In Genesis 4 we learn that metal-working was already highly developed; Tubalcain was an instructor of every artificer in brass and iron.

I had often wondered about the possibility of creating a chronological timeline of the dates stated or implied in the Bible. After a few years of enjoyable, frustrating and intense study, I have found it not only possible, but a fascinating and very illuminating project. Putting together the pieces of this puzzle has brought me closer to God and taught me more about His Word and His dealings with Man than I ever thought possible.

Time Line Legend

The Bible Timeline has been arranged into four sections for faster loading, and is best viewed at 1024x768 monitor resolution.

Bible verses are paraphrased in ( white text ), from the New King James version, with each reference enclosed in [brackets]. The ages of the patriarchs are in blue text. Sources in pink text, and my personal comments are in - green text

The dates used for this chronology are based on the Jewish calendar. The
day begins and ends at sunset, ie., sunset Friday night to sunset Saturday night is considered the Sabbath day. Whether an event occurs in the morning, afternoon, the evening, or even a couple of hours before sunset, any part of a day is considered as a whole day when calculating dates. The first day of the year is 1 April (Nisan). Each month = 30 days. In prophecy... a "time, times and a 1/2 a time" = 1,260 days, or 42 months, or 3½ years.

There are two theories as to the size of a cubit used in a measurement ... 18 inches, and 22 inches. The smaller cubit of 18 inches has been used in
this study.

Statement of Faith:

La victoria está asegurada en Él

"En aquel tiempo estabais sin Cristo... sin esperanza y sin Dios en el mundo. Pero ahora en Cristo Jesús, vosotros que en otro tiempo estabais lejos, habéis sido hechos cercanos por la sangre de Cristo."
(Efesios 2:12-13)

¿Ha pensado realmente lo que significa estar en Cristo? ¿Ha tenido alguna vez una clara revelación de eso? Una vez que la tenga, su vida será revolucionada.

En Él recibimos perdón por nuestros pecados. En Él estamos sentados en lugares celestiales para que Dios nos pueda mostrar las abundantes riquezas de su gracia. En Él somos hechos justicia de Dios.

Si quiere que esa verdad se haga realidad en su vida, comience a buscar los pasajes que hablan de estar en Cristo. Busque las palabras en Él, con Él, por Él, mediante Él y en Quien. Subráyelas y medite en ellas hasta que su verdad llegue a su ser espiritual. Ellas le darán munición poderosa contra los ataques de Satanás.

Por ejemplo, cuando él trate de decirle que usted es sólo un pecador y que Dios no quiere que le moleste con sus problemas, sabrá que él está mintiendo. Podrá contestarle enérgicamente y decirle: "Yo era un pecador, pero gracias a Dios ahora soy justicia de Dios en Cristo Jesús. He sido levantado para sentarme con Él en los lugares celestiales. Ahora estoy en Él y tú no puedes tocarme".

Esté preparado para la próxima vez que Satanás venga con dudas, incredulidad, y acusaciones. Esté preparado para responder a Satanás con los pasajes bíblicos que dicen quién es usted en Cristo. Una vez que de veras entienda lo que es estar en Cristo, ¡tendrá la victoria aegurada en Él!

Escritura de Estudio:Efesios 1:1-14

Siga su sueño

"Entonces Moisés respondió a Dios: ¿Quién soy yo para que vaya a Faraón, y saque de Egipto a los hijos de Israel?" (Éxodo 3:11,12)
¿Alguna vez ha tenido un sueño inspirado por el Espíritu Santo, un sueño de hacer algo realmente grande para Jesús? ¿Un sueño, por ejemplo, de ser tan próspero que usted pueda financiar un avivamiento en toda la nación? ¿Un sueño de llevar miles de personas al Señor?
Quizá lo haya tenido alguna vez, pero no se atrevió a llevarlo a cabo. Puede que haya pensado: "Yo no puedo hacer eso. Satanás me ha mantenido derrotado por tanto tiempo que tengo una pobre imagen de mí mismo".
Si es así, tengo buenas noticias para usted. Si confía en Dios, aunque tenga una pobre imagen de sí mismo, no lo va a apartar del éxito. Mire en el libro de Éxodo y verá a un hombre que demostró eso. Su nombre era Moisés.
Moisés no tenía una buena imagen de sí mismo; había cometido un error muy grave al inicio de su carrera. Fue un error que le llevó al desierto, en el que estuvo 40 años pastoreando las ovejas de otra persona. Moisés había soñado una vez con ser libertador del pueblo de Dios, pero ya no. En su opinión, él era un derrotado, un fracasado, un fiasco.
Pero Dios no pensaba así. De hecho, cuando Dios se apareció a Moisés en el desierto, Él no le pidió a que le mostrara las credenciales; no le mencionó nada de su pasado turbio. Solo le dijo que fuera a ver a faraón y le dijera que dejara ir al pueblo de Dios.
Pero Moisés seguía lidiando con la pobre imagen que tenía de sí mismo. "¿Quién soy yo para que vaya a faraón?", balbuceó él. ¿Sabe la respuesta que Dios le dio? Le dijo: "Ve, yo estaré contigo". Lo que Moisés fuera no era importante. Lo que importaba era que el Dios viviente estaba con él.
Lo mismo es cierto acerca de su vida. Usted no necesita tener una lista de éxitos para responder al llamado de Dios. No necesita una cadena de credenciales espirituales. Todo lo que necesita es la presencia del Señor.
Piense en eso cuando el diablo le diga que usted es un fracasado y que nunca podrá hacer lo que Dios le ha puesto en su corazón. Póngalo en su lugar, dígale que no es importante quién usted sea y que el Dios viviente está con usted.
Luego atrévase a seguir su sueño.

ÉL ES MI PROTECTOR - Salmo 27

¿Alguna vez se ha sentido como que sus fuerzas se acaban, que sus piernas le tiemblan?, ¿que su cielo está lleno de nubes negras aunque el sol está brillando?; ¿en uno de esos momentos en que queremos olvidarnos que somos ya crecidos y responsables de nosotros mismos?, ¿a lo mejor en uno de esos momentos cuando lo único que queremos es que alguien venga y nos abrace, para librarnos de la situación que estamos viviendo?

Bueno, déjame decirte amigo y hermano que estas en muy buena compañía, porque dudo que exista alguna persona que no haya pasado por esa situación y eso incluye a los mas débiles y a los mas grandes y poderosos.

¿Recuerda al grandioso Rey David? ¿Aquel que las escrituras declaran que fue un hombre al verdadero corazón de Dios? El valiente pastorcillo que mató al oso y al león solo con su callado y su vara y que también mató al gigante filisteo, ¡el también pasó por similares circunstancias!.

Algunas veces el se metió en lios por sus propias acciones, como cuando se apropió de la esposa de un hombre que le servía y que para tratar de deshacerse del problema; envió al pobre hombre al frente de batalla para ser puesto en la primera línea para que lo mataran rápidamente.

Así es como vemos a este poderoso rey clamando a Dios por ayuda y salvación en el Salmo 86 y llorando le dice “…INCLINA, OH Jehová, tu oído, y óyeme; Porque estoy afligido y menesteroso”; pero aun desesperado, angustiado y culpable, lo primero que el hace es correr hacia Dios por ayuda y no trata de esconderse o arrancar en la dirección opuesta; que es la mas común de nuestras reacciones.

Aprendemos también de este hombre elegido, que junto con sus quejas y clamor por ayuda, infaliblemente el expresa su fe en que Dios lo librará de todos sus problemas.

Cuantas veces nos encontramos con expresiones provenientes del arpa y la voz de este gran hombre; que son de un tremendo aliento y coraje para nuestras vidas.

“…aunque ande en valle de sombra de muerte, Tu estarás conmigo”(Salmo 23:4)

“…Tu eres el que levanta my cabeza” (Salmos 3:3)

“…Guarda mi alma, y líbrame: No sea yo avergonzado, porque en ti confié” (Salmo 25:20)

“…cuando se juntaron mis enemigos contra mi para comer mis carnes. Ellos tropezaron y cayeron” (Salmo 27:2)

“…Caerán á tu lado mil, Y diez mil á tu diestra: Mas á ti no llegará.”(Salmo 91:7 )

“…Ciertamente el bien y la misericordia me seguirán todos los días de mi vida”(Salmo 23:6)

Todas ellas me llenan de gratitud y me hacen sentir fuerte y protegido, deseoso de enfrentar al enemigo, sabiendo que desde ya, la solución de mis problemas está a la puerta.

Nuestro Señor Jesucristo, nos ama y de tal manera, que El murió en la cruz del calvario, precisamente para librarnos de todo mal y para darnos Su protección.

Es tremendamente reconfortante el saber que Jesús mismo nos prometió:

…y he aquí, yo estoy con vosotros todos los días, hasta el fin del mundo. Amén.(Mat. 28.20)

Demos gracias a Dios de todo corazón, que el camino de salida a nuestras circunstancias, no depende en cuan fuerte o cuan astutos o cuan entendidos podamos ser; sino que depende en el amor, el cuidado y la mano poderosa del Señor, actuando en nuestras vidas a través de la unción del Espíritu del Señor que mora en nosotros (1Corintios 3:16) y activada por NUESTRA FE EN QUE EL HARÁ LO QUE PROMETIÓ.

Que nuestro Señor haga resplandecer Su luz sobre cada uno y les de paz y confianza.

JESÚS, LO HIZO POR MI

ISAÍAS 53:3-8

3.- Despreciado y desechado entre los hombres, varón de dolores, experimentado en quebranto: y como que escondimos de él el rostro, fue menospreciado, y no lo estimamos.

4.- Ciertamente llevó él nuestras enfermedades, y sufrió nuestros dolores; y nosotros le tuvimos por azotado, por herido de Dios y abatido.

5.- Mas él herido fué por nuestras rebeliones, molido por nuestros pecados: el castigo de nuestra paz sobre él; y por su llaga fuimos nosotros curados.

6.- Todos nosotros nos descarriamos como ovejas, cada cual se apartó por su camino: mas Jehová cargó en él el pecado de todos nosotros.

7.- Angustiado él, y afligido, no abrió su boca: como cordero fué llevado al matadero; y como oveja delante de sus trasquiladores, enmudeció, y no abrió su boca.

8.- De la cárcel y del juicio fué quitado; y su generación ¿quién la contará? Porque cortado fué de la tierra de los vivientes; por la rebelión de mi pueblo fué herido.

Cada año, en el día de mi cumpleaños, recibo de mi familia una tarjeta de saludo y celebración que me hace sentir muy especial. Artísticamente, a lo mejor puedo encontrar una tarjeta mejor y mas bien hecha, pero ninguna de ellas me hará sentir tan apreciado, porque simplemente, esta tarjeta fue hecha especialmente para mi. Ellos se esmeran en prepararla y pintarla y escribirla, SOLAMENTE PARA MÍ.

El pasaje de las escrituras que nos ocupa hoy día, refleja exactamente la misma idea:

¡JESÚS LO HIZO POR MI!

En una forma especial y dedicada a mostrar que tan tremendamente grande es el amor de Dios para con nosotros; que Él se separa de lo normal, para hacer algo súper especial para cada uno de nosotros. Tan especial que el se preocupó de revelar este acontecimiento, al Profeta Isaías, nada menos que 700 años antes que sucediera.

Cada vez que leo este pasaje, me hace sentir amado y apreciado por Aquel que precisamente, tiene mas razones que nadie para despreciarme y rechazarme. Mi rebelión y pecado, me pone en antagonismo contra El y en lugar de condenarme y emprisionarme para siempre en el infierno; Dios mismo se humaniza en la persona del Cristo y no solo da las órdenes para que yo pueda ser salvo, sino que va aun mas lejos y toma mi lugar para recibir el castigo y el sufrimiento que yo merezco.

¡Y EL LO SUFRIÓ TODO… POR MI !

¡ESTE ES MI DIOS!

1 Samuel 2:2 “No hay santo como Jehová: Porque no hay ninguno fuera de ti; Y no hay refugio como el Dios nuestro.”

Creo que este pasaje de las escrituras, nos llama a reflexionar acerca de la GRANDEZA de nuestro Dios, Su poder, Su gloria y especialmente Su amor para con nosotros.

Vemos en la exaltación de Ana, que hay un corazón agradecido pagando sus votos de agradecimiento al Señor por el favor recibido, ese niño Samuel, por el que ella oró sentidamente a Dios ; y que aunque era lo mas precioso de su vida, ella lo trajo a la casa de Elí el sacerdote para servir. Cuantas veces en nuestra desesperación, le ofrecemos al Señor, esto y aquello con el fin de obtener lo que queremos o necesitamos pero, ¿estamos listos para pagar nuestros votos cuando la bendición se manifiesta?.

Vemos también que como resultado de cumplir con su promesa al Señor, la infertilidad de Ana, desapareció y Dios le bendijo con el privilegio de dar a luz otros tres hijos. Nuestro Padre Celestial conoce la intención de nuestro corazón y premia la fidelidad de los que le siguen.

Nuestro Señor les bendiga abundantemente.

NO TEMERÉ - Salmo 46

Muchos años atrás fui invitado a visitar unos amigos que viven en una calle llamada Court de la Chapelle en el Barrio 18 de Paris. Entre la conversación, la comida y los juegos de cartas; el día se fue volando y al darme cuenta que tan tarde era, rápidamente me despedí y comencé a caminar a grandes pasos ya que es bien conocido que en esa área tu no caminas solo en la noche al menos alguien que vive allí te acompaña. ¿Taxi? ¡Ni lo sueñes! No se atreven a ir por esos lados a esa hora de la noche. Con esa idea en la cabeza me dirigí hacia la estación de Chateau rouge, en la esperanza de que podría alcanzar el último tren.
Aunque la jornada duró solamente 20 minutos; creo que han sido los 20 minutos más aterrorizantes de mi vida. Las calles eran angostas y muy oscuras, en algunos de los postes brillaba una luz muy tenue y había grupos de gentes en las veredas en los lugares más oscuros; bebiendo y hasta una pelea vi.
Verdaderamente creo que fue la ocasión en que conocí lo que significa sentir miedo y ese temor profundo que te estruja las entrañas. Senti la opresion espiritual que el miedo produce. De verdad que me sentí solo y sin apoyo, abandonado.
Cierto es que nada me pasó esa noche y logré alcanzar el último tren. Aunque los trenes a esa hora de la noche no son el lugar mas seguro que puedas imaginarte, una vez dentro me sentí como si estuviera en un castillo fuerte en que nadie ni nada me podría alcanzar.
Esa es precisamente la idea que el salmista nos muestra en el Salmo 46, que no importan las circunstancias, el lugar, la hora, ya sea un cataclismo o simple oscuridad; nuestro amante Dios nos protegerá y mantendrá seguros y salvos si le confiamos y esperamos en El, no dudando; pero sintiéndonos seguros y protegidos; porque El lo prometió.
El Rey David expresa el mismo sentimiento de seguridad en el Salmo 23, cuando dice: “Aunque cruce el valle de sombra de muerte, NO TEMERÉ MAL ALGUNO”.
Pienso que en general somos muy buenos para asustarnos cuando debiéramos darle la oportunidad al Señor de mostrarnos cuan fiel El es a sus promesas.
Bueno es recordar que todas las promesas de protección en que el salmista ponía su confianza están disponibles para nosotros hoy día. Como un sello glorioso de su amor y cuidado por nosotros podemos también recordar que el Señor Jesús nos dijo en sus últimos momentos en la tierra “ Yo estoy con vosotros todos los días y hasta el fin del Mundo” (Mateo 28:20) y que como resultado de esa promesa, hoy día nada menos que la Unción del Espíritu de Dios, mora en cada persona que confiesa al Cristo como Señor y Salvador.
NO PODEMOS ESTAR MAS SEGUROS QUE ESO; DEJÉMOSLE HACER SU OBRA EN NUESTRAS VIDAS Y VIVAMOS EN PAZ, CONFIANDO EN SU FIDELIDAD Y NO ENTRISTEZCAMOS AL ESPÍRITU DEL SEÑOR CON NUESTROS TEMORES Y DESCONFIANZA.
Jesús nos ama verdaderamente y cuida de nosotros cada día y en cualquier circunstancia.
Gloria sea a nuestro Dios y Señor.

DIOS TIENE UN PLAN PARA NUESTRAS VIDAS

1º de Abril de 2008 Deuteronomio 7:8

Esta sección del mensaje de Moisés para preparar al pueblo de Israel antes de entrar y poseer la tierra prometida, no puede ser apreciado con solo leer el verso seleccionado para hoy día; es aconsejable que leamos todo el capitulo 7 y 8 de Deuteronomio, para que podamos apreciar que Dios tiene un plan bien definido para nuestras vidas; un plan en el que no hay lugar para variaciones.

Es un plan en el que el Señor nos muestra lo necesario y también nos enseña que seremos probados en nuestra fidelidad y obediencia a El en la manera como ejecutamos este plan. Creo que si miramos bien lo que Moisés nos esta enseñando veremos que todo ello se aplica a las circunstancias de Israel muchos milenios atrás; como también a nuestra vida moderna, ahora en pleno siglo XXI.

Dios a través de Moisés nos esta mostrando aquí:
Ø Que Dios tiene un plan bien definido para cada uno de nosotros
Ø Que es lo que El espera que hagamos.
Ø Como El espera que lo hagamos.
Ø Los puntos que debemos considerar para no caer en la trampa.
Ø Cuales serán los beneficios de hacer las cosas a Su manera.
Ø Cuales serán las consecuencias de no hacerlo a Su manera.
Ø Aun nos señala que hay ciertas cosas que no debemos ni siquiera considerar en nuestras vidas.

Para los que asisten a Príncipe de Paz en Londres; ésta es una buena continuación del mensaje que recibimos a través del pastor Sven, el pasado fin de semana; en que vemos que tan lejos nuestro Dios va para bendecirnos que aun nos a encomendado el Nombre de Jesús y todo Su Poder para desarrollar el plan que El tiene preparado para nuestras vidas. Planes para bendición y no para maldición.

La puerta abierta

Sed templados, y velad; porque vuestro adversario el diablo, cual león rugiente, anda alrededor buscando á quien devore:
Al cual resistid firmes en la fe, sabiendo que las mismas aflicciones han de ser cumplidas en la compañía de vuestros hermanos que están en el mundo.
1ª Pedro 5:8-9

¿Deja usted la puerta de su casa abierta cuando se va a dormir?
Bueno puede pasar por accidente que olvidemos cerrarla; pero, creo que todos nos preocupamos de cerrar bien la puerta y las ventanas; para evitar que el ladrón se meta y haga de las suyas antes de que nos demos cuenta.
¿Cómo es pues, que a veces dejamos las puertas de nuestro espíritu abiertas de par en par y damos oportunidad al enemigo para que venga y nos traiga toda clase problemas?
Seamos vigilantes y cuidadosos con nuestra vida espiritual, aún más que con lo material y no permitamos que los afanes de la vida diaria nos envuelvan de tal manera que no nos deje tiempo o energías para dedicar a la oración y la meditación en la palabra del Señor.
El apóstol Pedro nos aconseja que:
Ø Seamos vigilantes y que velemos para estar listo en cada ocasión
Ø Recordemos que el enemigo está siempre alrededor tratando de destruirnos.
Ø Debemos rechazar al diablo con nuestra FE, porque querámoslo o no los problemas y tentaciones vendrán y es mas fácil deshacerse de nuestras tentaciones y problemas; cuando los detenemos en la puerta y no les dejamos entrar.
No olvidemos que cuando estamos en una buena y constante relación con nuestro Dios, MEDITANDO en su palabra día y noche, estaremos en posición y bien equipados para darle al diablo un buen portazo en sus narices.
Seamos Valientes y esforzados y no dejemos que nada o nadie nos haga perder las bendiciones que el Señor tiene preparadas para los que fielmente le sirven.

La ausencia del Amor de Dios

Encontré esta historia en un devocional del Bishop E. Earl Jenkins y realmente me impresionó la simplicidad de la enseñanza; especialmente cuando vemos que es un tema que ha producido acaloradas discusiones entre los teólogos y sabios de este mundo por siglos.
Por favor léalo, lea las escrituras mencionadas y medite en cuanto mas fácil es aprender del Señor, cuando buscamos su opinión primeramente.

"Dios separó la luz de las tinieblas" Génesis 1:3 NVI

Un profesor universitario desafió a su audiencia: ¿Creó Dios todas las cosas?
Un estudiante respondió: ¡ Si!
El profesor continuó diciendo: Si Dios creó todas las cosas, entonces El también creó la maldad y desde que lo que hacemos determina quienes somos, entonces Dios es malo.
La audiencia permaneció en completo silencio.
En ese momento otro estudiante levantó la mano y pregunto: Profesor, la oscuridad, existe?
El profesor respondió, Si!
A lo que el estudiante respondió: No señor, la oscuridad no existe. Oscuridad es simplemente la ausencia de luz. La luz podemos estudiarla y medirla pero no podemos hacerlo con la oscuridad. Por ejemplo podemos usar el prisma de Newton para separar luz blanca en muchos colores y estudiar los diferentes largos de onda de cada color; pero no podemos cuantificar la oscuridad
Un simple rayo de luz puede penetrar un mundo de oscuridad e iluminarla o como saber cuan oscuro un lugar es?.
Podemos medir cuanta luz hay alrededor, pero no podemos medir cuanta oscuridad hay.
Oscuridad es un concepto usado por el hombre para describir lo que pasa cuando no hay luz presente.
De nuevo el mismo estudiante preguntó: Profesor, la maldad existe?
Bastante inseguro por el momento, la respuesta fue: Desde luego que existe!!
El estudiante no tardó en responder: No señor, la maldad no existe en si mismo; es simplemente la ausencia de Dios. De la misma manera que oscuridad es un concepto usado para expresar la ausencia de luz; la maldad es simplemente el resultado de lo que pasa cuando una persona no tiene el amor de Dios presente en su corazón.
Es como el frío que viene cuando no hay calor; como la oscuridad que viene por la falta de luz, asimismo la maldad se manifiesta por la ausencia de Dios.
El profesor simplemente tomó asiento.
El nombre de ese joven estudiante: Albert Einstein

A veces nos cuesta entender cosas que son mas bien simples, porque que solo vienen por la revelación de Dios a nuestros corazones. A veces tratamos de aplicar nuestra lógica y nuestro conocimiento, nuestros libros y textos, mas que la Palabra del Señor y no buscamos primeramente la revelación divina que viene a través de la enseñanza que podemos recibir de LA UNCIÓN QUE HABITA DENTRO DE NOSOTROS, como entendemos al leer la primera epístola del apóstol Juan ch.2 versos 20 y 27.
Me viene también a la memoria aquel pasaje de las escrituras que dice que "El lo escondió de los sabios de este mundo y lo reveló a los simples de corazón". Los teólogos han estado discutiendo este tema por siglos y todavía no se ponen de acuerdo.
Creo que la lección que esta historia nos enseña es que debemos simplificar la manera de entender las cosas espirituales, "...buscando el Reino de Dios y Su Justicia primeramente y todo esto, nos será añadido", como nos revelan los evangelios, Mateos 6:33 y Lucas 12:31.

Que nuestro Dios les bendiga grandemente.

Gloria sea a Su bendito nombre!!

Después de muchas vicisitudes y descalabros, al fin puedo ver el resultado de creer y esperar en el Señor; quien es siempre fiel para cumplir lo que ha prometido.
Mirando atrás, puedo ver Su mano poderosa librándome de la trampa del enemigo, puedo ver que de verdad Él me sustenta con la mano derecha de Sú poder, puedo ver que el justo pasa por muchos problemas pero El Señor nos libra de todos ellos. Amen y Amen.
El hospital me dio de alta, solo tengo que ver al especialista cuando me den una cita y ver a mi GP local.
Doy gloria a mi Señor por Su fidelidad y amor.
Aunque todavía estoy un poco debilucho, ya estoy comenzando a integrarme a la vida normal. Es terrible sentirse tan limitado, que prácticamente me he pasado casi un mes haciendo NADA!
Espero con la ayuda de Dios estar de vuelta a mi iglesia el sábado 1o. de Marzo.
De nuevo quiero dar Gracias al Señor por todos mis hermanos y hermanas que en el tiempo cuando más necesité, estuvieron orando por mí y demostrando su amor en diferentes maneras.
Los hermanos de Príncipe de Paz, de verdad que me hicieron sentir amado, sus llamados telefónicos y sus presentes fueron treméndamente bien apreciados.
Eso me alegra doblemente, porque en el dar espontáneamente, suplieron para una necesidad material; pero mostrando cuidado, suplieron para una necesidad espiritual que es aún más importante.
Eso me da el privilegio de ver madurez espiritual en sus vidas. Gloria a Dios que dar es mejor que recibir por que su semilla de amor el Señor la multiplicará grandemente en sus vidas. Amén.
Vaya por eso mi gratitud y la de mi familia.
Pero también tengo que expresar mi gran sorpresa, por el apoyo en oraciones y contacto telefónico y por email de los hermanos en Sudamérica.
Como se enteraron? Estoy verdaderamente curioso, así que alguien por favor hágame saber, para expresar mi gratitud.
Gracias especiales a los hermanos y hermanas de las Iglesias Esmirna y Alianza de Amor en Santiago, la 1ª Iglesia Bautista de Concepción y Punta Arenas, la Iglesia metodista Pentecostal Pastoral de Antofagasta, en Chile; la muy recordada Iglesia Firmes y Adelante del barrio de la Boca en el Gran Buenos Aires y la 1ª Iglesia bautista de Mendoza, en Argentina; los hermanos de Huancayo en Perú y el increíble hermano Paulo da grande Igrejia Presbiteria de Botafogo no Río de Janeiro, Muito obrigado Paulinho meu Corazao vai para voce é a sua familia.
Gracias infinitas para todos los hermanos, los emails siguen llegando; de verdad me toca profúndamente, el saber que hay tanta gente que aun me recuerdan; algunos que los vi, solamente, por un par de días en campañas evangelísticas, muchos años atrás.
Bueno voy a poner término a mis expresiones de gracias diciéndoles que el amor expresado para mi, va de vuelta a cada uno de ustedes multiplicado grandemente y espero que el Señor me de la oportunidad de ver de nuevo en esta vida a los hermanos de Sudamérica, sino, nos reuniremos en la gloria que espera a los que paciente y honestamente siguen las huellas de nuestro Señor y Rey, Cristo Jesús, Salvador y Redentor nuestro.

Gracias a Dios Buenas Noticias

Podemos dar gracias a Dios que nuestras oraciones están siendo respondidas.
Ayer visité al doctor y es evidente como el Señor me esta recuperando mas rápidamente de lo que los médicos esperan.
El resultado de los análisis de la semana pasada, sobrepasan las expectaciones. (El doctor es cristiano y aun así, se mostró sorprendido)
Gloria a Dios por eso!!!
Aunque ya estoy mas fuerte y me muevo mejor, ( ayer caminé hasta la consulta del doctor y lo hice con no mucho esfuerzo)
Yo creo que todavía me quedaré en casa por otra semana.
Por favor manténganse en una actitud de oración y sometimiento al Señor, porque esta situación nos esta mostrando que el diablo no es mas que un enemigo derrotado, que ya no tiene mas poder sobre nosotros porque el Espíritu del Señor habita en nuestras vidas.
Que tremenda verdad!!!
Seremos más fuerte cuando esto termine, si continuamos en Fe y confiando en lo que el Señor hace en nuestras vidas, más que lo que podemos hacer con nuestras propias fuerzas y entendimiento.
Oración
Gracias Dios nuestro por Tu fidelidad y amor para con nosotros. Nos sometemos a Ti y pedimos que nos des fuerza y coraje para caminar en esta vida manteniendo al enemigo derrotado y a
Cristo Jesús brillando en nuestras vidas, para que no importa en lo que estemos envueltos podamos brillar contigo mostrando al mundo que no importa las circunstancias Tu nos proteges y nos mantienes victoriosos en Ti.
En el precioso Nombre de Jesús te rogamos.

Saludos y cariños para todos y estoy muy grato con los que están tomando responsabilidad en el manejo de la Iglesia en mi ausencia.
Creo firmemente que de la misma manera como nadie se sale con las suyas actuando malamente; NADIE QUE ACTÚA RECTAMENTE, PERDERÁ SUS BENDICIONES, porque el Señor lo prometió.
Les amo entrañablemente y los echo de menos.

Muchas, Muchas, Muchas Gracias

Grande es la fidelidad de nuestro Dios para los que le temen y confían en Él, no importa lo que el enemigo trate, siempre será derrotado porque "mas grande y poderoso es ÉL que vive dentro de nosotros, que él que está en el mundo".

Mi recuperación esta yendo lenta pero segura y estoy confió que muy pronto estaré de vuelta a mis deberes, tanto en Príncipe de Paz, como en el trabajo de apoyo a diferentes ministerios; porque eso es lo que el Señor me ha llamado a hacer, ese es mi lugar y no hay suficientes diablos para derrotar mi fe en la mano poderosa de mi Señor para mantenerme en salud y fuerza, en sabiduría y conocimiento, en deseo de servirles con lo mejor de mi; para que todo lo que haga de Gloria a nuestro Señor primeramente y traiga bendiciones a los que reciben mi labor.

Unas tremendas gracias a todos ustedes por tenerme presente en sus oraciones; aquellos en Príncipe de Paz, el Ministerio Alcanzando Las Naciones y las Iglesias que soportamos en Sudamérica.

Grande es mi deseo y mi suplica al Señor que pueda de nuevo tener la oportunidad de viajar y ver otra vez a todos aquellos que ya conozco en esas lejanas tierras y de tener el privilegio de conocer a aquellos que han sido agregados en los años de mi ausencia.

Con mucha alegría hemos recibidos sus presentes y de verdad agradecemos su deseo de compartir de la abundancia que el Señor está trayendo a sus vidas, con nosotros.
Una semilla de amor, siempre trae bendiciones abundantes al dador alegre, porque esa es la promesa del Señor.

Espero que Nuestro Dios les siga bendiciendo grandemente y cubriéndoles con Su mano maravillosa, para protegerles de todo ataque del enemigo y para darles paz, Salud y prosperidad para que en todo lo que pongan su mano, prospere y se multiplique para que podamos abundar en toda buena obra en Cristo Jesús.
